Community Programs
In addition to working one-on-one, I also run two community programs for people with disabilities.
Music Plus
Music Plus is a community music-making session for people with disabilities held every Tuesday in Millbrook, NY. Freewheeling and fun, this program, which I founded, has been running continuously since 2007. More details here.
Singing Songbirds Community Chorus
This is 30-strong chorus is totally inclusive, which means it is made up both with people with disabilities and “neurotypicals” – all singing and interacting happily together. We have two seasons per year and a huge variety of music. We rehearse and perform at a seniors facility in Millbrook, NY call the Fountains. (the seniors take part too). I founded the chorus in 2010 and have directed them ever since. Here is a short clip from one of our concerts, and gives you some idea of the enthusiasm generated:

Both these programs, Music Plus and the Singing Songbirds, are run by Reach Out Arts, a wonderful non-for-profit organization whose work focuses on the use of the arts to help the well-being of individuals and society.
