Classical Piano Videos

This page features some of my performances of classical music as soloist and accompanist.

First off, that all-time classic, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. 2014 performance with the Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Kathleen Beckmann.

Next, Liszt’s Totentanz for piano and orchestra, an amazing set of variations on the medieval plainsong “Dies Irae.”  With the Newburgh Symphony Orchestra, 2009 concert.  This is audio only, but, if you love virtuoso romantic piano concertos, I do not think you will be disappointed!

Now the last movement – the Rondo – of Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata, op. 53, from a solo recital in Poughkeepsie, NY, 2013.

One of my long-term partnerships is with the superb ex-New York Philharmonic cellist Nancy Donaruma.  Here we are together performing Chopin’s little known “Polonaise Brillante” in a 2012 performance in New York.  This early work, dating from about 1929, and exudes youthful vitality…

Beethoven’s “Spring” Sonata, last movement, with Australian-American violinist Lauren Davis. Millbrook, 2012.

George Enescu’s “Legende” with former world champion cornetist Ivan Hunter. 2013, New York.
